Well, the storm we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived in Northern New England, so I couldn’t resist putting up this beautiful opening segment from the ski film “Idea”, featuring Eric Pollard, Pep Fujas, and Andy Mahre. The film puts forward their vision of a new ski film aesthetic and pairs a creative original soundtrack with phenomenal footage of three pro skiers just out there having fun. The music is by H-Mob Productions and Cali P, and is really hard to define, you just have to hear it. So check it out and pick up the DVD if you dig it. -Jduds
Kutiman feat Karolina – Music is Ruling My World (2007)
1. That afro-feline girl is unreal, like a hieroglyphic statue.
2. Atop Mt. Garbaggio, does the dude reach up to puff a cig or plug his pug?
3. The way Karolina sings that fadeaway shot at the end of each chorus line…true hooker.
4. Who expected such groovy, afrobeat funkadilly to come out of Israel? Not me, which shows once again that expectations are better left unheld.
